Our claim processing is timely and accurate. With our sophisticated computer systems, we process claims based on the plan design. Regardless, of whether a claim is In-network or Out-of-network, we have the ability to quickly and accurately pay your claim.
In-Network Claims
By having our computers linked to our networks, we can adjudicate claims quickly and do the re-pricing of network claims in-house. IBA will also make sure that all in-network hospital claims are properly billed using that networks negotiated fee schedule
Out-of-Network Claims
Approximately 10-20% of claims are out-of-network and without discounts that you get from a network. IBA has an alliance with several companies specializing in negotiating and re-pricing out-of-network claims. Now, more than ever, businesses must place a greater emphasis on effective expense management and cost containment programs while maintaining or improving their loss ratio. The programs we have in place offer an innovative way of reducing the out-of-network claim for both physicians and hospitals. By negotiating a reduced payment, the total amount claim is reduced and therefore lowers a customer's loss ratio.
Claim Management
IBA offers full service claim management programs. These programs are designed to single out potential large claims and maximize the quality of care at cost effective charges. Inpatient Certification ensures that a member is not spending more time than necessary in a hospital or inpatient facility. Our Utilization Review program determines a member's medical necessity when dealing with cosmetic or experimental procedures. Case Management nurses are used when a member has a condition that will require extensive treatment. These nurses follow patients health care needs and assesses the overall treatment and cost.
